I would like to wish all residents of our area a Happy New Year for 2010. It is going to be a very important year nationally for politics and an interesting one for Bradford.

 I have decided to create this website as a way to keep as many of the residents of Thornton, Allerton and Sandy Lane informed of the progress that I and my colleagues, Cllrs Binney and Sykes , are making in makeing our area a better place to live work and play.

Regular information about our area and issues in Bradford will be posted here and hopefully it will be beenficial to all that access it.

There have been many problems with no grit bins being filled in the Thornton area following the heavy snow this month.

I have spoken to the environment  team and have been assured that they will do thier best to ensure that we have our bins filled as soon as possible.

I have also requested new grit bins for high street thornton and for hill Top Close in Allerton. Hopefully these will be provided sooner rather than later.�As you can appreciate they are currently inundated with requests.
