About

I am currently, until 2011, your local councillor for Thornton & Allerton Ward on Bradford Council. I currently work for a charity in Bradford providing accessible information for disabled people. I have worked for a number or organisations including the Metropolitan Police, Yorkshire Post newspapers, Telegraph & Argus and was self employed for a number of years

I am passionate about sport and politics. I have commentated on Bradford City for our local community radio station BCB 106.6FM the best station in Bradford for sport for over ten years until this year when unfortunately Bradford City decided that they no longer wanted radio coverage.

I am like many of us out there overweight. I enjoy going to the gym and can be regularly seen in Thornton gym.

On the council I am currently Chairman of the Housing and non Domestic Rates Committee.

I am also on the Council’s Environment and Waste Management Improvement Committee, Licensing Committee and Bradford West Area Panel.

I am an alternate for the Social Care Committee, Regeneration and the Corporate Improvement Committee. This means I am asked to attend these committees if someone who is a conservative on those committee cannot make it.

I have just been approved as school governor for Allerton Primary March 2010.

I like to keep politics and family separate. It is my view that you do not take your family to work with with you.
